Cranberry season 2011

Cranberry season 2011

The USA cranberry season has started. It seems to be a very good season with large volumes and high quality. The U.S. Department of Agriculture expects a record-breaking harvest of cranberries of 34,000 tons. This represents an increase of 11% compared to last year. And due to perfect weather conditions the fruits have a good size, colour and flavour.

Our fresh cranberries are flow packed in practical consumer units; in cartons of 10 x 250 gram punnets or 24 x 340 gram bags. We also offer free consumer leaflets which are designed to inform and inspire.

The leaflets are available in both German and Dutch. Ask your sales person for more information.

Cranberry sauce, the easy way!

Wash the cranberries. Bring one cup sugar, one cup water and 250grams of cranberries to a boil. Stir occasionally until their skins pop. Let the sauce gently simmer for 5 more minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. The sauce will get thicker when it cools down. Serve hot or cold.
