Jabulani!

In these last moments of World Cup fever the word ‘Jabulani’ will mostly be related to the official FIFA match ball. Not for us at Nature’s Pride. ‘Jabulani’ always reminds us of the ‘Jabulani Kids’ in the King George VI centre. This small school in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe is helping physically handicapped and hearing impaired children with rehabilitation and learning.

In the beginning of this year Nature's Pride together with its business partners raised an impressive € 42.000,- for the Wollebrand charity. A large portion was donated by this charity to Jabulani Kids to purchase a new school bus to pick up handicapped children from home and take them to school. The bus is also able to support in finding enough food for the centre.

As a big ‘Thank You’ the children of the King George VI centre recorded a special Jabulani Song to thank everyone who contributed to the charity.

Jabulani is a word from the Ndebele , the language that is spoken in the area around Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, meaning 'joy'or 'delight'
