A crumble with passion
Bring out the passion whitin you, by eating this crumble. This exotic crumble is made of apples and passion fruit. The combination of the hot crumble and the cold vanilla ice is absolutely tasty.
Ingredients - 4 persons:
- 4 apples
- 4 passion fruit
- 1/2 tsp of sugar
- 4 biscuits
Butter
Vanilla ice-cream
Preparation:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C. Lightly grease a big baking dish with butter. Set aside.
2. Peel the apples and cut it in slices of 1.5cm-wide. Place the apple slices flat in the greased baking dish. Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the apples.
3. Cut the passion fruit in halves and spoon out the pulp. Place the pulp on the sugared apples.
4. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake the apples with the pulp in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the fruits are soft.
5. Remove baking dish from oven and spoon apple/passionfruit mixture evenly into four small baking dishes. Now crumble the biscuits on top of the fruits. Now place the four baking dishes back into the oven for 7-10 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.
6. Remove the passion fruits crumbles from the oven and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top and enjoy.
