In & Out of Season

Update availability & seasonal information

Baby Vegs from South Africa

Some of the Baby Vegs are still very limited (such as Patty Pans, Courgettes and Fennel). Baby leeks not available until week 29. Baby carrots are available again.

Crown Pumpkins

Season of the Muscat pumpkin (orange skin and flesh) has ended. New crop from South Africa of the crown pumpkins  (greenish/grey skin and orange flesh) are now available.

Fruits and Vegs from Thailand

Rainy season has started and will last till October. During this season, some products like baby corn and asparagus could be less available than usual. Peru will have good volumes of asparagus and India will be able to fulfil any shortages in Thai baby corn if needed. As the rain is still inconsistent in the beginning of this season, the banana leaves are still limited. Availability of the banana leaves is expected to pick up soon once the rain is continuing.

Papaya

Papaya has been very short lately due to various reasons… and it will continue for some more weeks! In Brazil a lot of rain during flowering caused less fruit. Winter has come and makes production lower. Night temperatures are 13/14 degrees, so fruit grows very slowly.

Edible Flowers

Due to the heat in Israel “capucine flowers” are almost out of season. Expected to be available again in December.

Cactusfigs

Mexico product is taking over from South Africa. Now available with 18 or 24 pieces in a 2.8kg tray.
