Baby capsicums belongs to the nightshade family and is related to the tomato and potato. Capsicums are native to the subtropical areas of South America. Baby capsicums are little versions of the block paprika. These baby paprika´s come in green, red, orange and yellow. The baby capsicums are sweeter than the bigger ones and contain no seeds. This makes them a great snack. Baby capsicums are actually a fruit, but are often considered to be a vegetable.

Preparation
First wash the baby capsicum and cut off the stem. From here either cut the fruit in rings or stuff it. When stuffing the baby capsicums do not cut off the stem, as it is a nice lid. The fruit can be eaten raw or cooked.
ConsumptionBaby capsicum is a fruit, but can be used as a vegetable. The fruit can be eaten raw or cooked. Baby capsicum with its small size and sweet flavour makes a great snack or decoration item. The fruit is delicious when stuffed and heated in the oven.
When to eatBaby capsicums should be firm and shiny. Avoid capsicums which are wrinkled. Baby capsicums can best be kept in the refrigerator and consumed within one week.
