Mini artichoke

Mini artichokes are extra tender in their miniature form

Mini artichoke - Product picture

Many consumers don't know that the artichoke is not actually a fruiting vegetable. It is the flower head of a thistle-like plant. The artichoke is edible, on the other hand, and its flower head is very tasty indeed.

The heads are available in regular size but also in mini format. Mini artichokes can be eaten whole and have a very distinctive flavour. The inside is slightly meaty. The leaves of the mini artichoke become more tender towards the heart.
