Mini romanesco

An eye-catcher

Mini Romanesco - Product photo

Romanesco is a very special member of the cauliflower family in and of itself, but in the miniature version, it is a real eye-catcher. Mini romanesco has the same structure as cauliflower. The vegetable is made up of numerous small florets that seem to grow into a spiral.

The colour is green, not unlike broccoli. In terms of taste, mini romanesco holds the middle between broccoli and cauliflower.

Recipes & preparation tips

Mini romanesco not only shares its appearance with regular romanesco, its application in the kitchen is no different either. The familiar flavour of cauliflower traditionally works well in a savoury pie. But it can also be more adventurous, in an oriental recipe, for example. Also delicious: roast and then use in a salad.
