Cycling together for the Ride of the Roses

Nature's Pride's cycling team rode the 20th edition of the Ride of the Roses, together with thousands of others on Sunday the 3rd of September. This jubilee year the tour started in Bleiswijk, where beautiful tracks of 25, 50 and 100 km were laid out in the' GROENE HART' and in the Lansingerland municipality. An impressive day as a total of over € 675,000 was raised for KWF (Dutch Cancer Society).

Colleagues, friends and family of all ages gathered at Royal Lemkes business park on Sunday morning. After the beautiful opening song "The Rose" sung by Esther Hart, participants rode out of the building into a sun-filled day. The beautiful green surroundings, the amazing weather and the support from everyone watching, contributed to making it a very enjoyable ride. At 14.00 the first participants came across the finish where everyone received a rose. The rose is a symbol for the start of a new day for everyone.

The Nature's Pride team raised € 33,741 this year. The total amount of the Ride for the Roses 2017 will be used to research prostate and breast cancer. We would like to thank all who made this anniversary edition a success. This day, once again, shows that together we stand strong in the fight against cancer.

We follow the seasons of different countries to supply the most delicious avocados all year round. At the moment our avocados are mainly from Peru. The Peruvian avocados are easy to recognise, they have thick skin and rounder shape. In addition, they can be a bit greener in colour. At the beginning of the season our avocados come from the north of Peru. At the end of the summer we have avocados from the south of Peru.

  • Nature's Pride is changing to paper packing sheets

In the context of making packaging sustainable, Nature's Pride is replacing its (black) plastic packing sheets into FSC certified paper packing sheets. The paper packing sheets have the same function as plastic packing sheets. However, the original paper colour, without unnecessary processing, ensures that by using these packing sheets high recycling rates can be achieved.
