Cherries are round shiny stone fruit. The fruit attached to thin stalks have a dark red colour and its flesh has a fine structure. The taste varies from a delicious sweet to sweet and sour flavour depending on the variety and country of origin. Cherries have a small inedible pit.

Storage advice

Cherries are kept refrigerated in storage and during transport. The ideal temperature during transport is between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius. At home the cherries need to be kept in the fridge.
