Lemongrass is a lovely aromatic grass that looks a lot like grass and has a length of around 20 cm. At the top of the stems the lemongrass often has long shaped leaves, the bulb at the base is creamy white to pink. Lemongrass has a delicious fresh taste that is similar to a combination of fresh lemon and ginger.

Storage advice

Lemongrass is kept refrigerated in storage and during transported. The ideal temperature during transport is between 2 and 6 degrees Celsius. At home the lemongrass needs to be kept in the fridge.

Growing and harvesting

The lemongrass bush grows up to half a meter high and can be harvested for the first time after five to six months. After the harvest, the product is cut to size and cleaned by removing the outer blade. Then it is packed to the desired length and weight.
