Tens of thousands of people worldwide harvest and package our fruit and vegetables, which is why we invest in long-term partnerships with responsible growers who ensure good salaries and working conditions. They must also be committed to supporting surrounding communities. Nature’s Pride products not only guarantee a moment of enjoyment for the consumer, they also contribute positively to the health of other people.

Nature provides us with the fruit and vegetables we love to eat. We want to protect it as much as possible and continuously strive to ensure this. We do this together throughout the entire chain, from the grower to the store shelf and from private to public stakeholders. We are actively working on responsible water management and reducing our emissions.

Nature's Pride Foundation

In 2014, we set up the Nature’s Pride Foundation to reinforce our sustainability ambitions. The foundation initiates projects that contribute to a healthy lifestyle and a prosperous living environment; these projects are implemented together with the growers in the countries where our products are grown. Currently, we are focusing on the areas of healthy food and diets and responsible water management. In doing so, the Nature’s Pride Foundation aims to contribute to accelerating and increasing sustainability within our sector.

Sector-collaboration on sustainability

Nature's Pride is co-founder, chairman and proud partner of the new programme of The Sustainability Initiative Fruit and Vegetables (SIFAV). This initiative focuses not only on improving working conditions and living wage & income, but also on reducing negative environmental impacts in terms of CO2, water and food waste. The basis of the programme is a continuous risk analysis, based on the principles of OECD due diligence on which companies are asked to report annually.

The SIFAV 2025 program is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supports the aim of the EU Farm to Fork strategyto accelerate the transition to a fair, healthy, and environmentally friendly food system. As a founding member of SIFAV 2020, Nature's Pride knows better than anyone that collaboration in the sector is key in structural improvement of sustainable practices. We believe the added value of SIFAV for the fruits and vegetables sector is enormous.
