Making Progress on Water Together
The pandemic hasn't stopped Nature's Pride and its growers from making progress on responsible water use.
In sourcing countries, many of our growers in countries like Peru, Chile, Spain, Colombia and Kenya have achieved SPRING water certification. Many others are preparing to do the audit and have participated in SPRING webinars that Nature's Pride and GLOBALG.A.P. have organized together over the past weeks. The SPRING add-on independently confirms legality of water resources and best practices.
At Nature's Pride, the first group of buyers graduated from the 'Water in Procurement Strategy' Training which we developed with water experts from Good Stuff International. During this 5 month online course our buyers learnt about a key water topics, including water and value chain resilience and our newly developed Water Protocol, which outlines the steps to take water into account in buying decisions.
On both ends of the value chain our growers and Nature's Pride work hard to take the lead in responsible water management. This is an expression of our aspiration to contribute to a better world together.
