Carolina reaper chilli

World record holder among chilli peppers

Carolina Reaper - Product picture

It is not often that our products are mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records, but the Carolina Reaper managed it. According to official measurements, it is the hottest pepper in the world, 'invented' in 2017 by an American grower. How hot peppers are is measured using the Scoville scale with units. For example, sweet peppers score 0, Cayenne pepper 50,000 and the Habanero pepper a whopping 350,000. Carolina Reaper achieves an awe-inspiring 1.64 million units! Nature's Pride very own 'hot scale' rewards the Carolina Reaper with a maximum score of 10.

Carolina would score considerably lower in a beauty pageant, as it happens. The red chilli is wrinkled, with pointed ends. It is particularly suitable for use in Asian dishes and other recipes that require a spicy boost.
