Calendula flowers are the yellow-orange disk shaped flowers of a plant by the same name. The long leaves each have 3 little teeth- like shapes at the end. The numerous orange petals surround a yellow heart that contains little seeds. Calendula flowers have a spicy peppery flavour.

Calendula is kept refrigerated in storage and during transport. The ideal temperature during transport is between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius. At home the calendula needs to be kept in the fridge.
