Lovage looks a bit like celery. It has a unique spicy, tasty flavour with a hint of aniseed and celery. In the Netherlands it is sometimes called the Maggiplant, because its taste is reminiscent of the seasoning they call Maggi which is used in soups and sauces.

Lovage is kept refrigerated in storage and during transport. The ideal temperature during transport is between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius. At home the lovage needs to be kept in the fridge.
