Jackfruit

Heavyweight champion among exotics

Jackfruit - Product picture

It is the largest exotic fruit available. And it's not just its size that gives jackfruit an exclusive status. The yellow-green fruits – weighing between 10 and 20 kilos – contain a large amount of starch. Smaller fruits can be found under the thick and firm skin of the oval fruits. The fruits contain elongated seeds that are edible. The taste of jackfruit is sweet, with a fruity aroma. The seeds taste like chestnut. Nature's Pride supplies the jackfruit variety Thong Prasert.
