Young coconut

Young and refreshing

Baby coconut - Product picture

With their distinctive shape, young coconuts are not immediately recognisable as a typical coconut. Young coconuts are cylindrical with a cut tip and lack the hairy and dark brown colour of older specimens. The refreshing coconut water inside is delicious to drink. The flesh of young coconuts is soft in texture and deliciously sweet. In addition, the inner part is also easy to scoop out.

Recipes & preparation tips

Cleaning a young coconut requires a sturdy and sharp knife. Use it to cut a small circle into the top of the coconut. Once the circle is removed, you can drink the refreshing water with a straw. Spooning the flesh out is also possible. The delicious coconut water works well in drinks such as cocktails and smoothies and in dressings.
